I. Membership and Attendance
Attendance Requirement (The Punctuality Pie Rule): Scheduled pizza-eating sessions shall primarily take place on Thursdays. Members must attend a minimum of 60% of scheduled pizza-eating sessions per semester/quarter to maintain active status. Failure to meet this requirement may result in a probationary period.
(a) Emergency Schedule Change (The Contingency Crust): In the event of an unforeseen conflict, severe weather, or other major emergency, the Head Chef (President) and the Sous Chef (Vice President) may jointly authorize a change to the scheduled day of the week, provided all members are notified a minimum of 24 hours in advance.
Dues and Financials (The Dough Contribution): All active members shall pay annual dues of $25,000 (Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars) to be used exclusively for purchasing pizza and related supplies. Dues must be paid by the first club meeting of each calendar year.
(a) Board Exemption (The Unpaid Service Slice): The current board members—The Head Chef (President), The Sous Chef (Vice President), and The Dough Master (Treasurer)—are exempt from paying annual dues for the duration of their term, in recognition of their service to the club.
II. Club Operations and Governance
Leadership Structure (The Slice of Power): The club shall have three primary officers: President (The Head Chef), Vice President (The Sous Chef), and Treasurer (The Dough Master). These positions shall be held for life, or until the officer resigns or is removed by a unanimous vote of the remaining active membership.
Voting Procedure (The Majority Topping): Any decision requiring a club vote (e.g., electing officers, approving large expenditures, changing bilaws) requires a simple majority (50% + 1) of active members present to pass.
III. The Pizza Protocol
Pizza Selection Process (The Rotational Roster): Pizza selection shall be determined by a rotating roster of active members. For each club meeting, one member will be assigned to choose the vendor and the topping combination for that session, in order of the roster. The selector is fully responsible for paying the cost of the pizza ordered for that session. To ensure fairness, a member cannot be chosen for consecutive meetings until all other active members have had a turn.
(a) Vendor Restriction (The Domino's Decree): Despite the rotational choice, a member may only select Domino's Pizza as the vendor a maximum of one time within a calendar year (January 1st to December 31st).
Fair Slice Distribution (The Equal Opportunity Slice): All pizza must be sliced into a consistent and reasonable number of pieces (e.g., 8 or 10 slices per large pizza). Members must wait for an official 'Go!' from the presiding officer before consuming the pizza.
Crust Etiquette (The No-Waste Policy): Members are encouraged to consume the entire slice, including the crust (or 'bones'). Any member who leaves more than three crusts uneaten in a single sitting must bring a side dish (e.g., salad or soda) to the next meeting.
IV. Conduct and Compliance
Clean-Up Responsibility (The Sauce Scrubber): The last two members to arrive at a meeting are responsible for ensuring all tables are wiped down and all boxes and trash are properly disposed of before leaving the session.
Guest Policy (The Plus One Pie): Active members may bring a maximum of one non-member guest per month, provided the guest contributes an equitable share towards the cost of the pizza for that meeting.
(a) Selector's Privilege: Notwithstanding the contribution requirement, the guest brought by the member responsible for selecting the pizza vendor and toppings that week (per Rule 5) is exempt from contributing to the cost of the pizza for that specific meeting.
Bilaw Amendments (The Re-Kneading of the Rules): These bilaws may only be amended by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of all active members, following a minimum of one week's notice to the entire membership regarding the proposed change.
(a) Expedited Amendments (The Quick Fix): Notwithstanding the voting requirement, minor clerical, formatting, or non-substantive changes to the bilaws may be enacted immediately via a simple edit to the official bilaw page by any sitting board member, provided the change is logged and announced at the next club meeting.
(i) Definition Authority: The final determination of what constitutes a "minor clerical, formatting, or non-substantive change" for the purpose of this section rests solely with the Dough Master (Treasurer).
